Description

The Manager/Senior Manager, Medical Communications will be responsible for developing scientific and medical content to support communication and publication strategies across preclinical and clinical programs at Wave. This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at our Lexington, MA facility.

Experience

  • Advanced degree, doctorate level (PharmD, M.D., or Ph.D.) required
  • Experience in medical communications/affairs with expertise in neurology; industry experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of drug discovery and development
  • Experience delivering quality communication materials in support of Medical Communications, Medical Affairs, or comparable

Responsibilities

  • Draft publications (abstracts, posters, slide presentations, and journal articles) to meet medical communication objectives in alignment with the overall objectives of Wave Life Sciences’ pipeline programs and therapeutic areas
  • Develop foundational scientific and medical reference materials in Wave’s therapeutic areas to help inform communication strategies
  • Develop quality materials to enable medical training and outreach in support of Wave’s communication plans
  • Provide oversight of work by external communications agencies, authors, and/or artists to develop materials that meet communication objectives
  • Coordinate and lead/participate in meetings with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Collaborate with Public Affairs, Investor Relations, and Patient Advocacy to support external corporate communications on key milestones and data
  • Contribute to the development/editing of important scientific or medical communications to support Wave’s preclinical and clinical programs, possibly including Communication platforms, Frequently Asked Question documents, and slide decks
