The Senior Software Designer is a role that allows you to focus on product development with the latest cloud technologies, including new feature planning and implementation.

We're on the hunt for a new Senior Software Designer for one of our R&D teams in Romania working on product development area.

The team is working on Our SmartSignals software platform which is the market-leading eCOA (Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments) solution for clinical trials.

As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Perform design, implementation, and maintenance of product modules/sub-systems according to architecture, guidelines and good software engineering practice.
• Performs code and design reviews to ensure good maintainability and bug free implementation of the product features.
• Perform bug verification, release testing and support for assigned products. Research problems discovered by validation or product support and develop solutions to the problems.
• In the absence of the product architect, may serve as the product architect in the areas of design and implementation in order to meet project objectives and documentation.
• Research problems discovered by Validation or Product Support and develops solutions to the problems.
• Research and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
• Be responsible for product’s usability by designing user interfaces, creating use cases, and implementing prototypes and conducting usability tests.
• Prepare technical documentation of product, creates user interface guidelines and conducts reviews.
• Conduct peer reviews for fellow developers to work with new product components / modules, to follow company coding practices and architectural guidelines.
• Have proficiency in a minimum of 3 coding languages specifically Java.

You’ll need to bring:

• M.Sc/B.Sc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years technical experience in a software development environment.
• User-oriented approach to software development.
• Excellent analytical and design skills at multiple product level.
• Excellent skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation.
• Understanding of specific product components or company products overall.
• Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
