    The Solution Specialist design solutions for clinical trials utilizing Signant’s Health product portfolio. The Solution Specialist to analyze study protocol requirements and define solutions considering scientific guidance, eCOA best practices and Signant’s Health products and standards.

    We're on the hunt for a new Solution Specialist for one of our Global Technical Delivery teams in Romania working on the Operations area of the business. The position gives you a great view on how a clinical study is being set up. The team is ensuring the project meets the study needs and is feasible to implement, based upon the capabilities and limitations of the product, in the quoted timelines and budget.

    Prior knowledge of requirement gathering, product customization is seen as an is seen as an asset/would be advantageous.

    As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be to:

    • Analyze the protocol and scope to collate the design requirements.
    • Liaise with Commercial to understand up-front conversations with sponsors and expectations, then with Science and/or Clinical to initiate the solution definition.
    • Collate questions and design options to be presented to the sponsor, providing recommendations, design alternatives and background to best practices to ensure the right choices are made.
    • Analyze and communicate design risks and options to mitigate against them, if possible.
    • Lead the design portion of internal/external meetings in order to confirm design requirements with sponsors and gather any additional, critical business needs.
    • Document design decisions in user stories and collaborate with Technical Services and Verification in order to accept user stories for implementation .
    • Communicate proactively with the implementing teams to ensure the implementation of the solution progresses as planned and the solution is implemented according to standards and best practices
    • If there are scope changes, analyze and inform Client Services and implementing teams in order to scope next steps.
    • Seek feedback on their designs proactively, through involvement of internal and sometimes external stakeholders and in regular design board meetings.
    • Own the design elements of the eCOA solution.
    • Responsible to identify and communicate risk.
    • Through collaboration with implementing teams, the role has an influence on the overall design outcome of the study.
    • Impact to end-user experience.
    • Impact to data integrity.
    • Interface with internal and external teams, including sponsors.

    You’ll need to bring:

    • Degree in a Technology, Science or other appropriate subject.
    • Experience in developing solutions or software for use in clinical research.
    • Good problem-solving skills and a desire to solve problems.
    • Ability to resolve conflicts between people and competing goals and interests.
    • Ability to lead difficult conversations constructively.
    • Ability to motivate other people and create a sense of common goals and achievements.
    • Desire for developing one’s own skills: technical, clinical and interpersonal.
    • Ability to instill confidence in others, e.g., when recommending solutions to sponsors.
    • Have good communication abilities via writing, quality documentation and presenting in meetings.
    • Needs to be an effective, positive team player.
    • Must be a self-starter.

    Desirable:

    • Software development background/experience.
    • User experience/interface degree/experience.
    • Agile/Lean Six Sigma experience.
