Job Description

We are looking for a summer intern in our reagent manufacturing team in San Diego. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain additional lab skills in an industry setting and get hands experience around manufacturing commercial grade products.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Formulate, fill and finish various chemicals for Quantum-Si library prep and sequencing products.
  • Ensure proper labelling and capping of tubes in volume manufacturing setting.
  • Learn how to operate and maintain automation machines.
  • Record and log all batch/lot tracking for our manufactured material.
  • Track inventory and ensure the team has appropriate stock on hand.

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college studies in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology.
  • Practical lab skills and safety.
  • Previous experience pipetting small volume (<10uL).
  • Attention to detail and good record keeping/documentation experience.
  • Able to work 20-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm for 2-3 months in the summer.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role based in the United States of America is: $20.00 - $25.00. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
