Axiomer could potentially yield a new class of innovative medicines and treat currently untreatable diseases.
We’re currently looking for a Payroll Specialist (32 - 40 hrs/week) to join our awesome HR team. You will be responsible for the complete payroll process and execution, as the go-to person for all (international) payroll, benefits projects (e.g. new pension legislation) and administrative matters (HR and HR-financial related). Despite being an independent position, you will work closely and be well supported by your HR and Finance colleagues. This role is well-suited for someone who likes responsibility and variety in their role.
Location: Leiden (on-site).
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Execute monthly (international) payroll (provide input data, proceed, control)
- Administration of (international) employee benefit programs
- Perform various administrative duties with respect to (social) insurance, pension, health and safety within legislative requirements
- Perform basic HR administration tasks and Payroll while working closely with our external HR service providers
- Effective administration of employee documentation throughout their employment at ProQR
- Contract and correspondence management
- Support /backup of the HR coordinator: contact point for HR-related questions
- Respond to any incoming requests of (future) employees in relation to compensation and benefit matters (employer statements, pay slips, social security/leaves) to create a positive employee experience
- Collaborate with different stakeholders, like Finance, HR and Recruitment
- Review, analyze, and document current payroll and tax procedures; recommend and implement improved changes leading to best practice operations.
What do we think you need?
- MBO+/ HBO level, in payroll (like PDL – ‘praktijk diploma loonadministratie’ or VPS – ‘Vakopleiding Payroll Services’)
- You have at least 3-years of work experience in a similar role
- You are familiar with working in a dynamic organization
- You have high standards and strive for perfection, but you also know how to be pragmatic in order to respect the deadlines and budget
- You’re hands-on, a self-starter and you enjoy the combination of setting up a structured approach as well as getting things done yourself. Above all, you are solution-oriented.
- Work proactively, accurately, and independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team (being a team player).
- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills (in both English and Dutch)
- Knowledge or worked with ADP Payroll/Admin (ADP IHCM) software
- Experience with Employee Stock options administration
- You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so
