ImmPACT Bio is a clinical-stage company, headquartered in the Los Angeles area, and with a subsidiary in Israel, developing novel cell therapies for treating cancer and autoimmune disease. The company’s next-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell technologies are based on Boolean logic-gate approaches and address key biological challenges for engineered T cell therapies including relapse due to antigen loss/escape; on-target, off-tumor toxicities; and the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

ImmPACT-Bio is seeking a highly motivated individual with cell based analytical bioassay experience to work on innovative T cell therapy for cancer treatment. The successful candidate will play an integral role as a key team member of the Analytical Development within Process Sciences team, focusing on the development and analytical characterization of ImmPACT-Bio’s autologous T cell products. Under minimal supervision, you will be expected to perform experiments, organize and analyze results, and communicate and present findings in team meetings. You will report to the Head of Process Sciences.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of analytical development and product characterization activities in support of modified CAR T cell product development.
  • Lead the characterization of process and product related impurities for CAR T cell products
  • Lead the development of analytical test methods including but not limited to cell-based bioassays, flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays, immunoassays and/or molecular biological techniques
  • Develop/assist standard operating procedures, technical protocols, development/technical reports
  • Manage day-to-day analytical activities including timelines, objective setting and internal lab operations
  • Ensure a collaborative, cross-functional environment with process development, quality control, and manufacturing to advance development of modified CAR T cell therapy products
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of appropriate staff training program to ensure competency and compliance with Company SOPs for the developmental programs
  • Lead phase appropriate fit for purpose method qualifications and validation initiatives
  • Provide input to develop appropriate resourcing of the analytical development team

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related discipline with 8+ years of related experience; MS/MA/MBA in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related discipline with 10+ years of related experience; BA/BS in in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related discipline with 12+ years of related experience
  • Experience with analytical development of cell therapy products
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in the biotechnology sector
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
  • Strong organizational and record keeping skills
  • Advanced statistical analysis
  • Excellent skill in Microsoft word, Excel and data analysis

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
Salary Range
$195,946$228,056 USD
