ImmPACT Bio is a clinical-stage company, headquartered in the Los Angeles area, and with a subsidiary in Israel, developing novel cell therapies for treating cancer. The company’s next-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell technologies are based on Boolean logic-gate approaches and address key biological challenges for engineered T cell therapies including relapse due to antigen loss/escape; on-target, off-tumor toxicities; and the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

ImmPACT Bio is seeking an innovative, highly motivated, versatile leader to join us as Director/Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for evolving and leading company’s strategic sourcing, contracting, and supplier management for all external spend, including manufacturing / clinical / research spend. The candidate will enable long-term relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive value-enhancing and risk-mitigating initiatives.

NOTE: Position, reporting to Head of Supply Chain, is based in West Hills, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, align, and implement the Company’s overall sourcing strategy / resource plan in accordance with the business strategies and plans
  • Partner with the business functions to lead procurement initiatives / projects supporting business goals that include selection of suppliers for new capabilities, optimizing the current supply base, and maturing risk management program
  • Ensure robust procurement policy framework and a compliant program
  • Evolve procurement function to drive fit-for-purpose RFP process that ensures clearly defined user requirements and delivers quality proposals
  • Develop contract framework (MSA, SOW, LOI) in partnership with Legal and ensure robust implementation
  • Proactively look for ways to mitigate ImmPACT Bio risk profile via contract negotiations, close monitoring of supplier performance, and supporting performance improvement initiatives
  • Navigate challenging supplier performance issues as needed via contractual/legal escalation pathways as needed
  • Partner with G&A functions (i.e. Finance, HR) to plan, manage, report in alignment with company metrics
  • Develop supplier management program in line with the business needs
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships across departments and maintain clear communications with the Senior Executive Team, cross-functional team leaders, and third-party providers
  • Mature procurement function to enable ImmPACT Bio achieve its financial and strategic needs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • 8+ years of related experience including management of the function with at least 5 years in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with business acumen
  • Experience with sourcing and supplier management required
  • P2P (Procure to Pay) experience/general process knowledge required
  • Proven negotiation, influencing, and strong interpersonal skills to deliver value
  • Proven ability to work in a lean organization and creatively solve problems
  • Ability to build, manage, and develop procurement function

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years in biopharmaceutical or pharma experience and/or equivalent consulting experience
  • Cell / Gene Therapy company experience
  • Experience in all phases of product lifecycle – from pre-clinical trials, Clinical trials to commercialization
  • Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Work independently in a matrix environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong supplier management, project management, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
Salary Range
$155,058$224,625 USD
