Location: Oxford or Cambridge ~ with a blend of 20-40% in office, with the rest flexible to remote working.

A Day in the Life
As part of our leading Life Sciences team, you'll oversee the strategic scientific vision of your team, developing cutting-edge advancements and products whilst nurturing your team with a culture of excellence and positivity. Your responsibilities include not just scientific leadership, but also empowering and guiding your team. You will have a key mix of scientific leadership and achieving scientific developments.
You will take ownership of your team and motivate them to achieve their career goals, whilst utilising a pragmatic delivery-focused mindset.
Who You Are
- Expertise in statistical genetics and/or functional genomics, with experience in applications relevant to the life sciences (e.g., target discovery).
- Effective communication skills to enable understanding and foster engagement with both internal and external stakeholders across a range of seniority levels (written and verbal such as presentations, papers etc.)
- Independently leads team to successful outcomes, via an enabling approach to line management
- Ownership of independently developing, executing, and prioritising scientific research plans for medium to large size projects.
- Effective inter- and intra-team coordination & project management abilities to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
