At Editas, we’re driven by a collective purpose, to bring transformative and life changing therapies to people living with serious diseases with the greatest unmet needs. This fuels our drive to excel in scientific innovation, allowing us to harness the power and potential of CRISPR/Cas9 and CRISPR/Cpf1 (Cas12a) gene editing.

We believe our people are at the core of everything we do, and we’re committed to cultivating a culture where every individual feels valued and included. To do this, we strive to integrate belonging, inclusivity, diversity, and equity into every aspect of our organization.

Together, we are leading the way towards a healthier and more equitable future.

The Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) team at Editas Medicine is seeking a motivated senior research associate to help support the needs of a new class of therapies based on CRISPR-Cas gene editing. In this role, the candidate will use their experience in NGS technologies (library prep, quality control, sequencing hardware) to drive the successful translation of this technology into the clinic. They will assist with running existing Illumina and Oxford Nanopore processes as well as help develop new protocols and transition assays into production, as needed. Experience with automated DNA library prep, amplicon sequencing (target specific primer design, multiplex rhAmpSeq primer design for off target verification), and Oxford Nanopore sequencing (DNA, RNA and plasmid libraries) is desired. The position requires working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a capacity for creativity and innovation to achieve corporate objectives.
