Job Summary

The Senior Accountant functions as a key contributor within the Accounting team and plays a key role in general accounting functions.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares general ledger entries into the Netsuite accounting system for areas such as Cash, Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, Allocations and Accruals

• Prepares and reconciles monthly balance sheet accounts, and analyzes general ledger account activity in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and company accounting policies

• Assists with month end close fluxes for both balance sheet and income statement

• Assists with external audits by providing necessary support and documentation

• Prepares and assists with annual property tax filings and sales tax filings

• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data

• Continuously assess and improves on internal controls and various accounting processes

• Performs ad hoc analyses and assists with projects

• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or related field

• 3+ years of accounting experience

• Knowledge of accounting principles

• Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate to expert Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Netsuite Experience is a plus

• Attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to analyze and reconcile figures

• Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate to expert Excel skills

Physical Job Requirements

• May require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time.

The base pay range for this position is $70,861.00 to $81,490.00 per year. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off and 401K.
