Position Summary

The Procurement Sustainability Specialist (Ingredients) is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable procurement strategies and initiatives within the organization. This role focuses on driving sustainable practices with Nestle Purina Ingredient vendors. The role will collaborate with ingredient buyers and cross-functional teams to drive results towards ingredient greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions in the supply base.

  • Developing and capturing ingredient sustainability practices across Nestle Purina’s ingredient vendor network.
  • Collaborate with Ingredient suppliers and cross-functional teams to integrate GHG reductions into the procurement process.
  • Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate their sustainability performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Engage with suppliers to promote sustainable practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work with suppliers to capture GHG reduction efforts.
  • Analyze and organize data as related to Procurement GHG reduction metrics
  • Advocate for sustainable procurement practices within the organization and externally with suppliers and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Sustainability team to align procurement initiatives with broader sustainability strategies.
  • Support Category Buyers on the end to end Procure to Pay Process:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
  • 1+ years’ of sustainability, agricultural supply chain, procurement analytics, or related experience

The approximate range for this position is $76,000 - $91,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
