POSITION SUMMARY

As Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for providing controls engineering leadership and support to the manufacturing, engineering and maintenance teams at our new Williamsburg Township factory. You will troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement efforts on automated manufacturing processes and equipment. In this role, you will work directly with the plant Controls team to prioritize safety, efficiency and innovation in the fast-paced environment of pet food manufacturing.

  • Provide PLC programming and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support for the factory
  • Coordinate and implement control system upgrades and integrations
  • Assist in the development of scope, specifications and strategy for electrical and automation projects as well as organize execution of deliverables at the site
  • Design and approve electrical installations in accordance with proper codes, calibrations and standards, and provide technical oversight to ensure safety, reliability and performance of electrical power distribution systems
  • Maintain and continually assess the long-term electrical and controls infrastructure plan for the factory
  • Train, coach and lead technicians in preventing, identifying, troubleshooting and resolving concerns with electrical and automated systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field and 3+ years of experience working with PLC logic, control systems design, programming, integration and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

OR

  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field and 5+ years of experience working with PLC logic, control systems design, programming, integration and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $88,000 - $118,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
