Position Summary

As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and safety of our incoming raw materials for use in Pet Food Manufacturing. Compliance with our factory's food safety program and adherence to NPPC and local policies and procedures will be essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform sampling, testing, and documentation of incoming raw materials.
  • Conduct corn testing and verify that all grains meet HACCP requirements.
  • Sample ingredients from rail cars to ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and quality specifications.
  • Complete sampling methods as defined by quality and safety procedures including working at heights, wearing required fall protection for railcar or truck sampling, etc.
  • Conduct standard Methods testing for the NIR program and finished products as per requirements.
  • Facilitate ingredient-related communications across the organization.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1+ years’ experience working in a quality, food manufacturing, food safety, or related field

The approximate pay range for this position is $39,000.00 - $57,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
