Introducing Nestlé Purina’s new Williamsburg Township, Ohio, factory – just 30 miles east of Cincinnati. Position Summary

As a Production Line Manager, you will be responsible for performance management of the production area, ensuring all operations are performed in a safe, quality, efficient and cost-effective manner. You will provide technical direction and coordination of cross-shift activities while leading and communicating continuous improvement initiatives through coaching and training.

The first two years of this role are project-related with the goal of planning and developing the department as the Williamsburg Township plant approaches operational startup. This position will require travel up to 50% for the first ~12 months and will significantly reduce from there. The travel will include training and onboarding at other Nestle Purina operating facilities and will assist with the startup of our Eden, NC plant.

This position will start out working a Monday-Friday schedule with travel required for the next ~12 months. The schedule will adjust to working a first shift schedule primarily, with occasional night shift and weekend work as required once the Williamsburg Township plant reaches operation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operations start up responsibilities will include assisting the Operations Manager in developing a strategic vision of area of responsibility, including: safe work practices, creating training documents, goals, and measures.
  • Provide technical guidance to direct reports: Production Team Leaders and Technicians.
  • Communicate policies, procedures, team performance and other work-related matters through monthly team meetings, shift start-up meetings, and frontline engagement. Provide feedback to Production Team Leaders on work performance, customer feedback, and development opportunities regularly.
  • Monitor job training and performance to ensure that team members are focused on safe attainment of goals. Actively seek opportunities for continued improvement in all operations.
  • Review operation measures regularly and provide leadership direction for frontline team leaders, technicians and support teams on daily action plans to ensure business needs are met.
  • Ensure quality, sanitation and compliance measures are factored into daily operations.
  • Monitor operations performance management through digital tools
  • Collaborate with leadership and support teams to drive successful plant operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or related environment
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% for the first ~12 months

The approximate pay range for this position is $92,000 to $135,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities.
