Job Title: Utilities Technician

Seeking a multi-trades Utilities Technician to conduct utilities maintenance to join our team. Responsible for maintaining and repairing building facilities and utilities equipment.

  • Will start on a Monday- Friday day shift schedule and eventually transition to a continuous operations schedule - Night Shift

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Plans & completes all preventive and corrective maintenance of all facility and office equipment to include but not limited to the following: Boiler water treatment, Boiler steam and condensate systems, Ammonia refrigeration system (chillers, rooftop units, cooling towers, air handling units, etc.)
  • Maintain reverse osmosis (RO) system and components
  • Monitor and control all wastewater recycling center equipment
  • Provides improvement project support as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, boiler, and knowledge of chilled water glycol systems. Refrigeration certification preferred. Ability to technically maintain equipment. Technical associate degree or certificate preferred
  • Respirator fit test required upon hire
  • RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) certification required within 6 months of employment

SKILLS:

  • Ability to manage work orders and review maintenance plans and optimize to drive reliability of equipment
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to maintain, optimize and improve production equipment, with key plant indicators such as safety, quality, cost.
  • Use of mechanical system – hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems
