Job Title: Electrical & Automation Technician

Seeking a motivated Electrical & Automation Technician to join our team. Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all process control and operational support systems equipment in a proactive manner, troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns on all major electrical and computer-based equipment. Support factory electrical & automation engineering functions. Assist with capital and process improvement project teams.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Hourly pay rate of $40.00 -$43.00

  • $2,500 sign-on bonus

  • Relocation - Level offered will be based on relocation distance

  • 401k with company match

  • 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave

  • Insurance eligibility begins on 31st day of employment

  • 11 Paid holidays

  • Will start on a Monday- Friday day shift schedule and eventually transition to a continuous operation schedule

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Analyze performance data to improve electrical and automation equipment unplanned stops

  • Will work and troubleshoot equipment by interacting with cross functional departments such as Maintenance Leadership, Production Leadership, Engineering Leadership, Factory Leadership, Front Line Operators, Corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME)

  • Reports directly to maintenance/production leadership with input from Electrical & Automation Engineer. Expectation: associate will be motivated and self-directed, requiring only nominal direct/daily supervision and adhere to Nestle vision of safe and inclusive culture

  • Execute real time trouble shooting and problem solving with maintenance /Operations team and follow-up on issues to ensure that they are completed and that the issues are addressed. Participate in Preventative maintenance completion as needed

  • Ensure accurate documentation of all electrical and automation platforms, equipment and unplanned machine stops

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance; process industry preferred

  • Experience with automation systems for building, facility, utility, and process controls preferred

  • Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, including process and machine motion control logic

  • Experience with HMI systems, preferably Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk View, Wonderware’s InTouch and ArchestrA platform

SKILLS:

  • Strong electrical distribution and circuit analysis skills with medium voltage electrical systems.

  • Safe use of electrical multimeter to measure AC/DC voltage, continuity, and resistance.

  • Strong PLC troubleshooting skills; Allen Bradley preferred

  • Ability to understand, troubleshoot and edit HMI systems preferably AB PanelView, Wonderware’s InTouch and ArchestrA platform.

  • Strong process automation skills.

  • Machine Safety circuits and performance level identification

  • Able to work off-shifts, weekends & extended shifts (e.g., 10 hrs., 12 hrs.)

  • May require internal & external certification

  • This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position
