DESCRIPTION:

As a Scientist (Scientific Data Insights) you will be a key contributor to Aetion’s Data team. You will apply your analytical and problem solving skills to deploy new real world data sources in support of client and internal research questions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Help to/Liaise between external data partners and internal sales, delivery, product and engineering teams to deploy new data sources
  • In collaboration with internal relationship owners and data team members, advise clients on datasets best-fit for their research questions
  • Work collaboratively with Aetion new and prospective customers and other data team members to understand data needs and requirements
  • Work with the science team and other data team members to understand their questions & advise on appropriate use of data from a scientific perspective

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ year of operational or management consulting experience using real-world data, with preference for use in life sciences and/or other healthcare industries
  • Master’s degree in a science-related field, or Masters equivalent or Engineering degree undergrad
  • Analytical experience with healthcare data; OR capabilities in acquiring and analyzing clinical data sets, and longitudinal patient data; OR experience with choosing and applying real-world data to specific research questions as well as entire therapeutic areas; OR delivering healthcare projects to stakeholders (such as medical device or pharmaceutical companies)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Exceptional attention to detail and extremely strong problem-solving skills to anticipate and proactively recommend solutions
  • Ability to self-motivate and lead others
  • Strong written and verbal communications, including with senior executives and customers
